This is one of our absolute favourites. Reckognised globally as one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet it is an absolute must to see before leaving the island. The beach is secluded and surrounded by mountains just making it all the more exclusive. There will generally also be waves, sometimes quite big, so definitely grab an inflatable doughnut and get surfing.
Bear in mind this is an extremely popular beach amongst tourists and parking can get difficult. If you are planning on going to Myrtos, we recommend you get there no later than 11 at the latest. However, even earlier if possible. You can find this beach around 40 minutes from Argostoli.
Snacks and Drinks
At Myrtos beach you have a concession stand which provides ice cold drinks, from sodas to beer and wine. They will also serve simple items like hot dogs, burgers and pastries, along with various snacks.
Things to Note
This is a pebble beach, NOT sand. It also has a few umbrellas you can buy, but we recommend bringing your own as you will want to adjust your umbrella as the sun moves around.
